Official: UAC to produce 10 SSJ100s, switch to SSJ-New

MOSCOW, Nov 14 (PRIME) -- Russia's United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) plans to produce about 10 SSJ100 aircraft and then switch to producing SSJ-New, a model with no imported parts, a spokesperson at the Industry and Trade Ministry told PRIME on Monday.

"About 10 new planes are to be delivered under the SSJ-100 program, later the UAC facilities plan to fully switch to producing the imports-replaced version of the plane SSJ-New," the official said.

The official also said that an Irkut facility in the city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur is actively preparing for  serial production of the new model.
